MG TD TF 1500 - Oxford Motors Sacramento CA

I thought I would toss this out there and see if any one could help. I looking for a vintage Oxford Motors License Plate Frame either for purchase or to reproduce. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

As a side bar to any one who used Oxford Motors back in the 50s-60s... Lew Palmer the front counter man for Oxford recently passed away. It was one of dad's longtime acquiantances when he had His TD and AH 100-4

Are you sure of that name? I never worked for Oxford Motors, but I think I'm still alive. Or do I have a namesake somewhere?

here you go. from google

Chris,

I don't doubt the existence of Oxford Motors, just that a Lew Palmer worked there. There was another Lewis D. Palmer somewhere in the US Navy when I was in whose dunning letters I would occasionally receive in error, but one working for an MG dealer is almost too much of a coincidence.

Reminds me of a certain Mark Twain quote.

Well a Google search turned up a Frank Palmer that kind of fits the description but no mention of where he worked. Age is about right at 87.

HI Lew I'm certainly glad to know your alive and well. There was a Lewis Palmer that worked at Oxford back in the day that was the counter person. My dad had mentioned him as his Obit was posted in the local paper a month or so ago..

nope I Was wrong Chris thank you as the name was Frank Palmer...

That plate Frame is exactly what i'm looking for I wonder who owns that one

According to my dealer directory booklet Oxford Motor existed until at least 1968 so there is probably a license frame somewhere out there. Maybe post on a midget or MGB forum?
