MG TD TF 1500 - Paint Stripping progress advice needed

Hello guys,

I'm deep into stripping the '50TD down to bear metal and would like a few opinions on "how far to take it". (Yea, I would love to just have the pieces all dipped but 1)too far away and 2)$$$). I'm using a variety of chemicals (Jasco, aircraft, etc.) It's going pretty well. I plan on doing the entire job myself including bondo to smooth out a few bumps, etc. Sending it out is not an option :(

My question is, based on the photo below, should I keep going all the way down to bear metal or is it ok to leave a little existing paint (the green stuff), primer (the dark red stuff). This wing is only the first of many pieces to come so I'm asking for advice now so as not to waste time and energy. Keep in mind I have zero experience here!

I'll post another photo in 2nd post...

Thanks all!
Ed
