MG TD TF 1500 - Please Give Basic Car Info

It would be a big help if posters would include the year and model of the car about which they are writing in their first post on a subject. TF carb linkage, thermostat, fuel pump location (early TF), edtc. will be very different from a TD, for instance.

And if there is anything unusual, like 1-1/2" carbs on a TD, please mention it.
