Sorry no propulsion allowed |
LED DOWNEY |
I'm not going to guess but it does look great. How did you do the MG emblem? |
Gene Gillam |
Here is a hint. It's going to be involved with MG 2009. Anybody going besides me? |

Rocker cover racing. |

We have a winner !! Goal here is to make it out of as much MG parts as I can. The grille shell is made from a sectioned MGB turn signal bezel. The center bar came from one leg of the M off a B trunk badge. The MG badge is a hat pin somebody gave me. The slats are not from either my B or TF steering wheel. I'm not totally insane. I've got a lot of stuff on my bench that I hope will give it the flavor of a T type. It may only be good for one run as I picked up some wire wheels made for model airplanes ( it is British isn't it) and they may not take the abuse that the skate boarders throw at it. They had some really cool ones on a display plane that I think would have but at $ 125.00 a pop I had to pass on those. |

what do you think
|

Keep the wheels a bit higher for the abrupt hitting of the asphalt when you come off the ramp? |

They are just setting there now Gordon for ideas. I'm thinking they will wind up with the axle center at the bottom of the valve cover when done. I only have the two aluminium valve cover tags for fenders so I may have to go with just the rears. Never done one before but figured I just as well participate in all the festivities. |

You have far too much time on your hands! When, and if, these "gray men in the thin suits" finally stop taking all my money and decide to give me some...I want to hire you to develop a hand clutch for Izzy! Cheers & Best Regards, David 55 TF1500 #7427 |

Not for long Dave. I'm picking up the TD Wednesday. I've been thinking a spring loaded finger rheostat on the shift lever and servo motor connected to the existing linkage or perhaps connected to an added ear on the passenger side of the throwout shaft would give the most comfortable operation. Less combersome than trying to figure out how to apply mechanical pressure with your hand. What do you thonk? |

It's going to be awesome! |

In 1959 I lived in France and purchased a Renault Dauphine for a second car for my wife. She did not like to use a clutch.Renault had a unit called FER-LEC which was an electrically operated drive system. apparently it was Iron filings in suspension and when eletrical current was applied all the little pieces joined hands and locked up the engine to the transmission. It worked smoothly. all you had to do was place your hand on the gear shift knob and the first movement disconnected the current-then make your shift and shifter back in central position the drive connection was remade.60,000 kilometers later I sold it. Had zero problems. Sandy |

Led, Seems most apparent to me. It is a dildo designed for British Car Owners located in the Eastern portions of Canada fabricated form old Foster's cans. With warm regards, Dick Thomas |

That one caught me from left field Dick. I see you have the TD up for sale. I've been watching the prices the last month and they are in the tank. Might be best to hold her for a while and try when the money is flowing a little better. LaVerne Dildo?? |
LED DOWNEY |
Led, Yep. It is always on the market if you can call what we have today a market. I would be shocked if Ebay resulted in a sale but it does develop some contacts with very nice people on the side who are interested. In the meantime, I'm enjoying this great weather with the top down even though it is taking me on average two and a half minutes to get in the thing. New oil and filter Wednesday and we're ready for summer no matter who owns it. With warm regards, Dick Thomas |

How about the cycle fender look for the front? Got a inner headlight ring you might section for that styling feature? Dan |
Dan Craig |
