MG TD TF 1500 - Radiator Removal
The forward ends of the radiator stays have been detached. I have disconnected the hoses. The two large shouldered bolts holding the radiator to the headlamp brackets have been removed. But I can't get at what I presume are the fixing nuts and locknuts on the mounting bracket. My steering assembly is in the way. How do I remove my radiator? Thanks for the help. |

The only way to remove the lower fastenings is gradually. Using a long shank spanner, undo the nuts until you can no longer get at them to turn them, then lift the radiator up and place spacerbetwen the underside of the radiation and the radiator support then go under and repeat the process until the nuts fall off the studs. The you can lift the rad. free. |

I had tried the way Phil advises, & promptly gave up. It's much easier after you remove the splash apron. This is the body panel @ chassis level/in front of the radiator/between the 2 fenders. 1st remove the front bumper, then the apron. Safety Fast, Len |
