MG TD TF 1500 - Restoration specialists
The restoration of my 53 TD is about to begin in earnest, (yeah, right). I am now looking for recommendations for good quality outside services to do the stuff I'm unable to do. Does anybody have suggestions for a reliable chrome plater to do my radiator trim, windshield frame and headlight buckets? I'm in the Northeast and would prefer a fender fairly close by. Any input as to experiences, prices, turn around time would be appreciated. Actually, any comments on any type of restoration services are welcome. I probably need a lot more help than I think. |

Peter, If you are looking for a first-class plating shop in the northeast, I would suggest checking out Frankford Plating in Philadelphia.(http://www.finishing.com/frankford/index.html). They are not inexpensive, but I've seen their work and it is flawless. Several folks here in Minnesota won't use anyone else for concours restoration work. |

I have a problem similar to Peter Whelan. I have a 53 TD that needs engine work. We don't have experienced MG mechanics in this area and I would like to know if any one would recommed shops in Salt Lake City,Las Vegas or Phoenix. Thanks |
