MG TD TF 1500 - Second-Strike Pertronix ignition

I am curious about pertronix'z Second Strike Ignition. http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/strike/default.aspx.

On the surface, it seems to make sense, but it also seems that their market is directed to muscle cars and I am wondering if there is any potential advantage for our 4 cyl engines?

Any thoughts on this one?
