MG TD TF 1500 - seeking LARGE TF wiring diaghram

Mine eyes are dim, I cannot see
I have not got my specs with me
and bad boys play their tricks on me
... I cannot see

... not completely true, but at 91, I am having vision issues.

Just about to switch to neg ground. To be safe, I need a TF wiring diagram I can see. The A4 size just won’t cut it anymore.

Does anyone know where I can get a LARGE TF wiring diagram, preferably colour-coded?

Gord, see http://www.ttalk.info/LateTDWiring.htm for a start. Yes, it's a TD diagram, but I think the only difference would be in the wiper motor, and it's in color. Thanks to Dave Runnings. (at 89 I can read it).

Gord:

You can enlarge this to see it. It's in color.

Hey Gord,

If you are not replacing the wiring then I wouldn't think you need a diagram for the conversion.

You will need to switch the leads on the back of the ammeter to have it read correctly .

You should switch the leads on the coil.

Either of those two items could be left just as they are an not cause damage if operated as they were.

If you do not have any solid state items in the car such as a non points fuel pump or LED lighting, then the only thing that would need to be done is swap the battery leads and polarize the dynamo and the job would be complete.

I do have a good sized laminated TF wiring diagram that was sent to me by David Sheward in Ohio who doesn't come to this site to often these days. It has been quite handy a few times
Maybe he has another?

Hey LaVerne,

That exactly what I'm looking for. Where can I get a copy?.

I'm going to send you an email in just a bit Gord. Do I use the one I have with secure net or the one by your name here ?

The PDF is nice, is there one for an early TD with no turn signals?

For the 9 post regulator...

For the 5 post regulator.

Hey LaVerne,

Either will do. But I'm trying to retire the Securenet address, so stick with the one with m y name in it.

Thanks.
