MG TD TF 1500 - Should I?
Found something neat in a barn ... running! |

Yes, you should! It's a six cilinder Wolseley, isn't it? Here they all rusted away. |

Same engine as the Austin Healy... dual SU's on this one? Left hand drive and the 'shifter' is a complicated affair that you shift with you left hand... it is on the floor between the seat and the door! Bit of rust on the front right fender and door...other then that very solid! |

You are talking about the car, right? But if they can still run...... |

It was nice of those two ladies to take it out of the barn for you. Looks like new! |

The picture looks like a new car ad from an old magazine. It is shown as a right hand drive, not a lefty. What does your barn find look like? Wish I could find one down here. I love the styling. |

Cool, Gordon. If it has not turned to rust, it would be great company for the TD. You could probably rent it out for wedding using wedding cars tonbridges and such, too! Hell, even if it's a pile of rust, at the right price it would make a Healey 3000 owner very happy.I have a feeling you'll drive it home and polish it up handily. |

Congrats! I'm jello. Friend of mine lived (cottage) up there someplace, knew of one back in 50's, 60s. We were talking about it the other day - wondered where or if... FRM |

Hi, is the car in the photo the same as the one you found? The photo shows what appears to be an early 50's Wolseley 4/44 which has a single carb on its 4 cylinder engine. There are not many of them left since they were cannibalized for the XPAW engine which found their way into many T types. A Worseley with dual carbs and an engine similiar to a Healy could be a 6/90. My mistake. It is not a 4/44 since the shift lever was on the column for these cars. Hugh |

Gordon, If you don't buy it, someone else will. I'll talk with you about it in Kingston. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

The Riley Pathfinder version appeared at a recent Abingdon Works show at Abingdon airfield - it was the star of the show. http://www.mgabingdon.org.uk/photos/index.cgi?mode=image&album=/2007%20Events/Abingdon%20Fayre&image=17-Riley-Pathfinder-in-arena.jpg Gordon's photo looks like another Long Crendon job! Gordon, Of course you should! And then sell it to me. "Geraldine" (Image) needs a proper stablemate. Cheers, Allen |
