MG TD TF 1500 - Silicone Brake Fuid ? or not?

I just installed a rebuilt brake master cylinder and new wheel cylinders in my TD. I always used regular brake fluid, but a friend says this is a good opportunity to switch to silicone. Which is best?

If I do switch, what's the proper way to flush the system clean, and what do I flush with?
