MG TD TF 1500 - Solex carbs

The previous owner of my 52 TD installed Solex carbs which are a little temperamental. I'd like to go back to the original SUs but an intake manifold is impossible to find, so I'm stuck with these. I plan to have the Solex reconditioned but before doing so, has anyone had experience with these carbs? Does anyone have a manual for them re maintenance/adjusting etc.?
