MG TD TF 1500 - Spring
Spring is finally here in the great Northern state of Minnesota. Got the MG out today, started right up. Cannot drive it yet, new chromed windshield not installed yet. Do have the new Dave Dubois postive ground electronic fuel pump on and it works great. Next up is the new LED tailights that are supplied by one of our local shops, also positive ground, then I will be ready to go. |

Ran mine today up here in Gardiner, NY, beneath the majestic Schawangunk Mountain ridges and tried out my brand new Girling power assisted 4-wheel disk brakes on new 60-spoke painted wires. I noticed that my glove box (flocked) was sitting behind my passenger seat instead of, well, where it belongs and discovered that the Girling unit occupies most of the real estate formerly belonging to the flocked item. The kind garage owner promised to flock the box into a shorter dimension to share the space. At least I'll have more than the people that place a radio in there. Room for gloves. John |

John, how did you put the disks on the rear. I have MGA discs on the front of my 51 and feel much safer driving since I tend to drive it hard. I know the purist hate it but hey to each his own. Would be interested to find out what you did and how you did it. I have 72 spoke wheels on mine, running tubeless tires. |

Dear Tom, I got Scarebird conversions for the early MGB 3.9 banjo axle. These take Toyota Corolla GTS rear-drive calipers, Hyundai rotors, a special bracket to allow MG TD parking brake cable and Cadillac brake hoses. Scarebird specs out the conversion. JC Whitney had the very best prices on the hardware and I lucked onto a sale for free shipping. John |
