MG TD TF 1500 - Steering Wheel

Hi,
I know the steering wheel hub was Met Bronze,what was the colour of the centre piece?
I have two,one brown the other black. Which is the correct colour.

Ray, the center piece, not the plastic insert, was always painted the same color as the wheel hub. I think they used different materials to make the hub for the various BMC cars.

Morris used black steering wheel. Same part different colour.
