MG TD TF 1500 - Steering Wheel Centerpiece Set Screw
Years ago, we lost the original set screw for the centerpiece for the factory steering wheel. We replaced it with some modern screw that just did the job - but the head shape and screw driver slots are incorrect. I ordered a Moss replacement and received basically the same stew that I have already. Wasn't the original screw a somewhat domed screw for a flathead screw driver ? I have a Phillipshead in there and that is what Moss sent That isn't correct is it? Anyone have a source for the correct one? Thanks in advance, Jeff |

Slotted, domed and chromed correct. Try Abingdon Spares? George |

George/Gordon, Thanks so much for the rapid responses- you made my day. I'm glad to know that I am not losing my senses at 51! I will try Abingdon today. These little details are interesting to me - I want to avoid turning the car in to something it wasn't - and all the incorrect parts can add up if you settle for them each time. I'm sure the steering will improve if I find the correct one! Thanks again, Jeff |
