MG TD TF 1500 - Steering Wheel Centerpiece Set Screw
| Years ago, we lost the original set screw for the centerpiece for the factory steering wheel. We replaced it with some modern screw that just did the job - but the head shape and screw driver slots are incorrect. I ordered a Moss replacement and received basically the same stew that I have already. Wasn't the original screw a somewhat domed screw for a flathead screw driver ? I have a Phillipshead in there and that is what Moss sent That isn't correct is it? Anyone have a source for the correct one? Thanks in advance, Jeff |

| George/Gordon, Thanks so much for the rapid responses- you made my day. I'm glad to know that I am not losing my senses at 51! I will try Abingdon today. These little details are interesting to me - I want to avoid turning the car in to something it wasn't - and all the incorrect parts can add up if you settle for them each time. I'm sure the steering will improve if I find the correct one! Thanks again, Jeff |
