MG TD TF 1500 - Steering wheel fits fine, but is too large

I bought a very nice steering wheel at a bargain price last weekend at a car show. The wheel fits, looks great, is same color as the wheel that came on my 51 TD, but the center piece is too large and has three set screws instead of the single set screw as on my original.
Anyone know what I bought? I'm very happy with my purchase, but I would like to know where this where this steering wheel began life.
There is a part number inside the center... 3170.

Sid - Possibly a steering wheel for a Y type. Take a picture of it and post a query and the picture on the Y type BBS on this sit. Cheers - Dave
