MG TD TF 1500 - Stolen Car
Apologies for posting this on a T Series board but all possible assistance is being sought. An mga twin cam has been stolen from the owner's house near Guildford, Surrey UK. It is a RHD car, colour green. It does not have bumpers and the front valance has been smoothed. Chassis number is YD1/2548 and registration number is YLK 982. The Twin Cam engine is fitted with Webers and has a fan in front of the radiator. As you know the Twin Cam is most easily recognised by the unique "knock-on" disc wheels. Anyone seeing this car should notify the police. Picture attached. Mick |

I read about this on another forum, posted by the owner, very worrying case! A rare KN pre war MG was also stolen in the same theft but dumped 5 miles away. One of these cars had a hidden switch which the thieves apparently bypassed. Reminds me of a Twin Cam stolen in Melbourne a few years back and not seen since. Matthew. |

Saddly ...we should all be watching for "parts" as well. (twin cam engine and the wheels...top of the list). Unless it has been packed up and shipped out of country I fear that is what may be it's fate. |

The stolen MGA Twin Cam was located by the police near Windsor UK. It has no serious external damage but the engine has some problems, as yet undiagnosed. Thanks to all those who looked for it. Mick |

I hope they caught the guys who stole it and give them maximum sentences. It has been said that British justice moves slowly but inevitably. Cheers, Bob |
