MG TD TF 1500 - Stuff dreams are made of
I got a call a couple of nights ago, from an old friend who I haven't heard from for years 'n years ... said he was moving to a condo and wants his tools to find a good home, and if I was interested, he would send them out to me soon. What arrived blew me away. The "tools" just arrrived in a cube van with two husky guys. It took all three of us to off-load it. I can only guess it must weigh at least 250 pounds. I have no idea what's inside because, with a return 'phone call, I learned he'd lost the key years ago. I guess this will keep me busy for the rest of today and maybe longer. Gord (you lucky stiff) there's probably a number stamped into the face of the lock. The toolbox maker can probably supply you with a key. Bud |

I'll bet he has it opened allready! Key...we don't need no stinking key. Can pic's be far behind? |

Bud, You are right. Thanks. There IS a number on the face of the lock. That means I change strategy. I had planned to call a friend-of-a-friend who knows a shady character who has "certain skills" that might be able to open it for me. I have had to use this guy once before and his "certain skills" worked magic. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

You know, there are certain folks not shady, who have said skills. You need to find one and get him into Britcars. I have one here, but the house call would be pricey. FRM |

Maybe you do not need certain skills for Britcars? I once jumped in the WRONG MG after a clubnight and started it with my key, then wondered who swapped my steering wheel for a smaller one? Matthew. |

Gordon, That tool box combo looks exactly like mine, though the contents will probably pale mine. That garage floor looks exactly like mine!! I have, however, nothing to compare to those cars of yours. Beautiful things, well done. You are a winner on two counts - old friends and cars. Now, where is my high school old-boys list? Regards Roger |

Gord, I have similar looking Craftsman tool boxes with duplicate keys I seldom use. I can send you the numbers on the keys with the hope that one or the other might match your needs. |
Jim Merz |
Gord, Jim just gave me an idea. The tools section of the local Sears has a box full of toolbox keys. Can you give the number off of the face of your key(s). They're probably the same supplier. Bud |
