MG TD TF 1500 - Surprise, surprise
Am back from a great weekend of races at The Glen (although there were only about 5 of us spectators there !!!!!) Just a couple photos : http://www3.sympatico.ca/gordonblawson/theglen/index.html Anyway... have been back at the barn and have been able to save the rear wheel cylinders... once unstuck, they cleaned right up... now for the fronts and master (here is hoping). Took my canvas top cover and little spats (not sure what to call them) and washed them in cool soapy water... used a soft paintbrush to scrub them... what appeared to be faded canvas, was actually dusty, dirty canvas... they cleaned right up and are again their original green (assume an aftermarket purchase by the p/o). I'm getting really spoiled by all the good things happening with this car.... My gastank is out being cleaned and sealed and should be back first of the week... picked up an S.U. fuel pump on ebay to replace the A.C. one that was on it when i bought it... Talked to a glass man and he quoted $85.00 for a new windshield and about $20.00 to install.....Hmmmm... maybe by August....????? http://www3.sympatico.ca/gordonblawson/td/td.eht (or html if that doesn't show). |

Hi, Enjoyed your slide show. A nice idea, must get the manual out & see if / how I can do something similar for my 54 TF. She turned 50 on the 5th May & I forgot her birthday so this could may be provide a solution! If you get chance (please), may be you could provide me with a "Monkey See, Monkey Do" instruction sheet? Best Regards, Trevor |
