MG TD TF 1500 - TD headlamp fitting
It has now been four years since I began pulling my TD apart and the old memory just isn't working well enough anymore! I purchased a new set of headlight buckets and now that the car is almost ready I am ready to install the headlamps into the buckets. I remember that there were little clips but so far have only found one. Last night I tried to see how the lamp fits into the rim with these clips (even though I can't find the others yet) and I am having a devil of a time seeing how these things work to keep the lamp in. It appears that it should be simple but can anyone please shed some light as to how they fit. I believe that I require four clips per side if I am correct. Thanks Brian 1950 MG TD |

Brian, I have sent a separate email to you that contains an image that I had of the wiring inside of the headlight bucket. At least one of the clips is shown. I think that there are three per headlight. |

Brian I've sent you three pictures of the clips off my 50 There are six clips per lamp and you can see they were placed in pairs at 120 degrees |

Thanks Bud and Jon. I really appreciate the pictures as they made identification of the clips and location in the headlamp easy. Brian |
