MG TD TF 1500 - TD MKII fuel pump mounting holes
Can some one with a TD MKII give me a reference point to set the centers for drilling the cowl for the second fuel pump. Example how far up from the right lower corner of the tool box and how far from the side of the box. I'm ready to finish the plumbing and want to get the pump mounted in place. Tom? Barry? Bud? Anyone?? Thanks in advance Regards Bill Chasser Jr TD4834 |

Here is a shot from the web. But how the original pumps were placed by the factory - I can't in all honesty say. I'll bet Tom lang will have the answer though. :) Rod. |

Back in 1974 when I rebuilt my TD (with some mods :)ƒº) I mounted two pumps side by side on a plate using the original holes for the single pump. I did not wanting to cut more holed in the firewall. A good choice, as now I have put my car back to standard since I want it to last. To be fair - I was driving it ¡§enthusiastically¡¨ back in the day and I now feel that is not really conducive to its longevity. Rod. |
