MG TD TF 1500 - TD Protective Wiring Cover

While TF's have a number of these vinyl or plastic shields on wires and other bits, the only one I have found on TD's has been the master power wires to the starter switch. There is a rubber tube on the license plate wire and of course a plastic tube on the fog lamp wire too.

I decided to polish up my restoration and added this cover for the pair of wires. It covers the the two brown wires that are paired with the battery cable at the starter switch. The cover starts at the point the loom branches out the fuel pump and ground wires.

I got my covers in a whole set of plastic tubing from Metro Electronics at 1831 J Street in Sacramento. Now this is where it gets weird. This was the address of the MG dealership in Sacramento in 1953. It doesn't get much stranger than this :-)
