MG TD TF 1500 - TD Steering Wheel Conversion

I recently came accross a detailed plan with pictures for converting a Brooklands (plastic) wheel to a wood wheel and I lost the site/link. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

Thanks!

Is it not one of the links below in 'fixing steering spokes to rim'?

RT,

I will look for that link, I know the one you are searching for.

BTW, I have been restoring the TC and MMM steering wheels for several years and now have the molds for the TD/TF steering wheels.

I can recast the plastic rims and restore the steering wheels with the marbled tan finish. Also, I have the correct color paint mixed for the hub and center medallions and restore these with new chrome.

The reproduction wheels available today are not manufactured to a high quality, a restored original takes care of that and give you a concours wheel.

Contact me directly if you wish to restore your original wheel and I will quote prices and restoration schedule time.

Ben...do you have a website?

Gordon... I am interested in having you do one of your great looking wooden steering wheels for my TF.
My rim, hub and spokes are in good shape. Can you contact me via my email and let me know the details of what I have to do... Thanks John

I had Ben restore my original TC home market steering wheel and his workmanship is absolutely amazing. For what it's worth I highly recommend him.

Ben restored my heater last year. Outstanding craftmanship,

RT,

This is the steering wheel link I think you are looking for:

A really nice conversion of the Brooklands wheel with a wood rim. You could use any type of wood desired I should think. Some of the really exotic woods would look spectacular!

Also, thanks to Gene and Tom for their kind words about my restorations of the steering wheels and heaters.

Gordon, I have a web site but it only shows my pewter and bronze sculptures, not auto related items. www.CordsenDesign.com
