MG TD TF 1500 - TD Wiring
I have had some problems with the headlights on the TD. Part of the wiring from the frame to the bulbs has been botched together by a PO. I have found connections twisted and taped while in another area, there are crimp connections. Neither of which I approve of. I am trying to straighten it out. Are the original wires under the front wings (fenders) in a cloth type covering or tape wrapped? Thanks. |

John, There are some pretty good pictures on my website of the replacement wiring loom which installed as originial. There are also, not quite as good pictures of the disassembly of the old but it was quite decayed by the time I stripped the car. Also, as I mentioned in another thread, pictures on my website (at the main level) www.dbraun99.com pictures of rewiring both a TD and a TD Mk II. Several shots are there as well. With the sealed beam head lamps, it is advisable to make some jumper wires to create the three prong connector needed. warmly, dave |
