MG TD TF 1500 - Temp sensor crapped-out

At the end of the driving season, the temp gauge in my TF died. I don't know if its the bulb, the capiliary or the gauge. Is there any easy way to tell?

I'm now 88 and bending over is a major issue. So if I have to remove it, I will have to have help prowling under the dashboard. Once out, who is the best repair service?

Gord, it's a little easier if you pull the seat out. I'm 82 and I even take the steering wheel out to get under there. PJ
