MG TD TF 1500 - TF clock power
Can't quite find the best way to power the TF clock in the archives. It's not on the schematic. I suspect I should use a brown wire (power all the time), but what should I connect it to? (I don't have an old factory wiring harness to refer to). thanks, Tyler |

Its needs to come from the live side (unswitched) of the ignition switch. |

may be a bit late now-but the clock has 2 feeds for MGF -3 connector analogue clock. mgtf MK2 has newer digital clock ? C0095=PURPLE FROM FuseF12 10AMP C0210=DIMMER FEED -RED/BROWN C0232-GROUND BLACK F12 fuse under the steering wheel is blown, thanks to a lovely German web site. That's why radio power is gone as well. So no clock and radio = fuse. |

MGF? Digital? Are you sure you found a T Type site there? Matthew. |

I would also install an inline fuse of 5 amps or less to protect the clock should a power surge happen in the system. I have a 2.5 amp fuse and it's holding. If the car sets for an extended period of time, I would disconnect the battery also. PJ |

Don't forget, every time you reconnect the battery you need to restart the clock. Ray TF 2884 |
