MG TD TF 1500 - TF Dash LEDs
Will this bulb, (in the red), fit in a TF dash socket? Has anyone used these before? Will they fit in the Turn signal, Generator and Fuel indicator sockets? PJ

Paul, Thanks for the info. This forum is full of LED threads, and I'm all for them. No doubt, they do indeed make a big improvement. There there are two important point to be made:- a) Any T-Series must first be converted to negative ground, unless of course, you have the rare + ground bulbs, and even at that, selection is poor. and ... b) In general led bulbs cannot be dimmed. I bought a set of 'dimmable' LED bulbs to go over my kitchen counter, and they are a joke. I guess that they only dim 30% at best. I would love to hear from someone who has installed LED instrument bulbs in their T-Series dasboard. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

LEDs are OK for normally illumination, such as instrument lighting, turn signal indicator, and fuel warning. They cannot, however, be used for the generator warning light. As Gord points out, they are not dimmable. They are either on or off with almost no decent output at less than operating current. |

The LEDs for vintage cars can be had here in pos or neg ground and their price is very reasonable. PJ www.velocesolutionsllc.com. |

Moss also sells LED in a positive ground flavor - I just installed a batch in our TD. Cheers - Dave |
