MG TD TF 1500 - TF on eBay unbelievable

Item #2488719882 is an mgtf that is billed as "ORIGINAL" in too many areas that to me do not appear as being original. Copy pics and exapining in aphoto program I see lots of flaws. It has a $23000 bid. Guess I'm just gettin too old. It is located in Macomb MI which is about where I live so I emailed to ask if I can inspect. We'll see what comes about.
Any board folks going to battle of Brits at Freedom Hill?

Darnit. I could have saved big bucks on plating! (and it makes the car worth more to boot...)

Maybe this is a wave of the future. I could have left the block in bare cast iron, the sheet metal sand blasted clean, the seats in foam and springs....

Pity the 'original' red does not match the "A" (black) colour code.(And why is the I.D. plate not attached to the car?). Interiour looks to be about late '70's.
Would be a nice driver though.

"The steering wheel is the original wood"...who has my "original steering wheel"? It has been missing since Oct 1954!
Seems like a lot of work to take her apart just to change the piping colour and leave the "original" paint! I decided to paint mine after I took it apart.
Anybody else not buying 20k on the "clock"?

Did anyone take a look at the bids?

They went from $13K to 23K in one shot, with the bidders username hotelmike or something like that.

Looks to me, like little mikey on vacation was stuck in a hotel one day and was playing with the ebay video game. HotelMike also has no feedback, so I would cancel that bid if I were the seller, before it turns to a no pay.

Hey, My TD used to have a brass radiator shell, that is until I could afford to get it properly chromed.
