MG TD TF 1500 - TF Rear side curtain box bracket
The TF rear side curtain box bracket (photo) is held in place by four 1/4 BSF flathead countersunk screws that come through holes drilled in the wooden tank backboard. Am I correct ( I don't know. My tank backboard was rotted out when I got the car)? I guess I need to do a best guesstimate on where the holes are to be drilled (my replacement backboard did not have holes pre-drilled in it). Or am I missing something? thanks, Tyler |

I cant see the heads of my screws but I think you are probably right. I can feel my nuts are in the same positions. Matthew. |

Matthew, I normally value your contributions to this board but I really don't need to know that you can feel the position of your nuts. |

Sheesh, next you will be telling me that four is too many! |

Tyler , make sure it is in the correct position, even slightly out will prevent the starting handle from fitting in it's clips. My back rail rotted out and I made a new one only to have to dismantle and reposition.See photo 264 from the Original mgtf files. Ray TF 2884 |
