MG TD TF 1500 - TF Rear spring Specification
An overseas friend with a TF, which has a "sagged" rear end, has asked me to try and obtain the correct curvature that is required when he has his rear springs retempered and reset. I have looked in the archive but have not been able to find the information. Can anyone offer any help?? Thanks Don Lord |

Further to my previous post. I have found out that the following Rear Spring specifications apply to the TD: specifications for the TD rear springs. Number of leaves:---------------------- 7 Width of leaves:------------------------- 1.5 inches. Distance between eyes (free):--- 42 inches. Working load:---------------------------- 500 lbs. Free camber:----------------------------- 4.1 inches Laden camber:-------------------------- Half inch positive. Can anyone confirm if these would also apply to the TF??? |

The MG midget Series TD and TF Workshop Manual AKD580A MG TF SPRING SPECS Type Half-elliptic Length 42 ½ in (107.95 cm.) Width 1 1/2in. (3.81 cm.) Number Seven Thickness of leaves 7/32 (5.56 mm.)
