MG TD TF 1500 - TF side curtain box front piece bolts
The front piece of the TF side curtain box is upholstered, then bolted to the rear body tie bar with 4 2BA bolts (and capture nuts). Are the 4 bolts hex head or countersunk flathead (w/ finishing washers?)? thanks, Tyler |

Hi Tyler, As far as I know hex head, painted with a small paintbrush in the factory, by 'the lad' ! Matthew Magilton will know for certain ! Cheers, John |

Think I might have found out: look at The Original MG TF site, gallery, unrestored TF 6688, photo No. 50, lower left of photo (can't seem to paste the photo here). It shows a 2BA countersunk, flat head, slotted bolt with a finishing washer holding on the front side curtain box piece. I assume this correct, right? thanks, Tyler |

You are correct. It is a flat head screw with a cup washer -- not a flat washer. http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtf/Pictures/TF9052/TF9052_272.jpg Frank |

Hi Tyler, Frank is right - for some reason I had my mind fixed on the hinge bolts, for which my description is correct! Sorry about that, Cheers, John |
