MG TD TF 1500 - TF Side Curtain Compartment Bottom

I seem to have lost my PDF drawings of the side curtain compartment bottom. It had the measurements for the original type floor, with the access door. Anyone know the site where I can get these back? PJ

Hi Paul,
. You and I are at about the same place again. My compartment floor had been remade by a PO, still 3 pcs, but split across instead of fore-aft, due to roll bar sockets at the front. I'm going to go back original, but the ones in there did fit well, and are in good condx, 3/8" plywood, so their overall dimensions should match closely to what's needed, but I planned to measure.
. I'm thinking of insetting a baking pan in each of the outside ones, as done by someone on the forum, for storage of spares, etc. I bought some plywood a wk or so ago. If you come up with orig. dimensions, pse let me know, I'll do the same. I might do some measuring/cutting this wk. What is it now, -- "measure once, cut twice"?

(Tried a couple before I found some that were the right size to clear the "overridders".)
The "down" side to mine is I made it all one piece so no access to rear-end ...but really hasn't been an issue.
The "up" side is my compartment stays dry now.
The 3 piece leaked.

Sandy, What engine do you have? My thermostat housing has two outlets, where yours appears to have one. One of mine is for the temp gage and the other is for the pressure side heater hose. PJ

Hi David,
I've been to your website before, and found lots of great info there, incl. the "baking pan" idea. My wife gave me some 4-1/2" x 9" pans that are 2-1/2" deep. is that depth OK? Looks like yours are bigger in area.

I'm just a very minor contributer.
I have the TF up on the rack doing an oil change so I'll measure what I have and get that on here tomorrow for you.
Pretty sure mine are deeper so you shold be ok with those.
The first ones I put in were too deep.. (what was I thinking) looked fine but when I hit a large chuck-hole they bottomed out before the over-ridders!

My defective memory tells me there was an article in "The Sacred Octagon" about a metal container installed where the TF sidecurtain box is. I'll find my drawings and see if I can get a reference to the original article. If I remember (danger) it was very well thought out and would hold a lot of spares. I haven't built one yet but think it might be a good winter project.

I'm not a good sheet metal knocker, so that is what's been holding me back. If we had a good sheet metal man on here we might be able to get him to put up some kits for the thing. Who else might be interested?
