MG TD TF 1500 - TF Wiper Motor
Here's a pic before I restored it and notice the date on the motor, 12-11-57. Did MGAs use this type of motor, or is it a factory replacement for the TF? |

Paul, does that braided hose connect the fuel line from the tank to your fuel pump? Thanks. Jud |

MGA wiper motor is different..but equally inefficient :-) |

Jud, It's a late TF with the pump in the back, so the braided line goes directly to the carbs. The line from the pump is now new and comes straight up a little to the left so a P clip can be attached when it goes back together. The braided hose will go back on. The photo here was before I tore it apart. It was a mess! PJ |

I think this motor was used on many 1950/60s cars. The difference is the stroke on the big gearwheel which pushes and pulls the spiral rack. I have swopped over these wheels in the past and even repositioned the peg that the rack is fitted to. Jan T |

Here is a link to an MGA wiper motor for sale. Notice the wire over the top of the gear. It has a self park...novel idea :-) http://www.ebay.com/itm/251630746860 |
