MG TD TF 1500 - TF6603
I am looking for any information or history on TF 6603. I know it came off the assembly line on the 20 Aug 1954 and was shipped to the US.Some time in the 1990's( I think) it was shipped to Australia,as a basket case and boxes of bits, where it under went a full restoration and converted to RHD. If anyone with access to the TSO could you please look to see if it was ever registered with the New England T-register.Thanks. Ralph. |

Strange, well maybe not, engine number 630 was listed in car HDC46/6603, then listed on eBay in car HDC466605. Wonder if this is a glitch or were they changed on the line during manufacture? Another strange note is, from car No.TF6650 all engines up to car TF6749 were 1250 XPAG engines for a while then back to XKEGs. Looks like Abingdon jumped back and forth on which engine they used. 1250 and 1500 TFs had overlap in production. See https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtf/mgtf_production.htm#mgtf_feature |

Ralph, the T Register has information on an earlier Australian owner, shared with us by Matthew Magilton of MGCC Victoria. A good bet would be to contact him. David |
