MG TD TF 1500 - Thanks from an Old Newbie
To all the posters and responders, I would just like to offer my thanks for the great information that is traded on the BB. I joined 5 or so months ago and had some rudimentary questions on how to get started in this world of restoration of T types. Everyone was and continues to offer great advice and opinions. Although I have only taken a few baby steps toward the end result and I am still not to the piont of asking intellegent questions, I have been reading this BB vertually everyday for the last 5 months. Not only has it been greatly entertaining to follow, I have learned an incredible amount about so many areas of restoring T types. One day I am overwhelmed by the daunting task that lay ahead in areas like engine rebuilding, then the next day I'm excited about taking the steering wheel off to see if it will shine up like the beauties that can be seen on some of your sites. Keep the information flowing. More eyes are seeing it than you can imagine. And don't be timid about linking to picture sites. I have used them often to identify different parts in the numberous bag of parts that will someday makeup TD 12947. And someday I will start posting before and after pictures like many of you. Right now I am building a catalog of before pictures with the after pictures set for years from now. My goal, to drive the MG on my 60th birthday in just over 9 years from now. As always, thanks for the time and information. DP Earles |

I second that thanks. I have been here for years and have gained a lot of knowledge from these guys. Baby steps here too. Just started a small site and will hopefully be adding to it soon. http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1535176 I just started this site on Saturday. The car does not look like this at all. I have brought back most of it's original luster and almost have it started. All help courtesy of the BBS. Thanks again to all who have helped. |

Well... as you start the project, just remember there is a light at the end... and it's additive, you may think 9 years... but we did it in 2.5 yrs. And we are now at 700 miles on her. Looking forward to the weekend as it's getting up over the 0 degree mark,(10 deg C) time for another drive. Take a peak at the following site, it may help. I know that if you come across a question, these folks are the best at answering you. Without this site.... don't know if she would be running yet. Good luck, look forward to updates. http://community.webshots.com/user/apbudd |

Sorry....the above message was supposed to say (if I hadn't hit the wrong button) that the Crane Pushrods are available from this company for $41.12 + shipping per set. The usual disclaimers - no connection, no kickback, etc., just know about 'em because I've bought three sets from 'em at that price. Best, Gene |
