Sorry, could you print that out, I'm only picking up part of it. PJ |

I believe it says: Rebore, Has Pistons, Bearing and Big End. Crankshaft Regrind. 20 Pounds in 1969 equaled $47.80 or $318.48 in 2016 Jim |

If someone has a set of new carbs they want to sell I will buy them at the price shown in the attached photo! These were the brand new, never used from 1969 to 2014, packaged carbs that came with the TF. They looked perfect but it took several months to find out the needles and jets were useless. I suspect simple storage had allowed corrosion to form on the brass. Jan T |

According to MeasuringWorth.com the value of 17 £ from 1969 in 2015 (latest date available) is about 252 £. That would be about $378 in 2015. Tim TD12524 |

I never go by currency comparisons, just by how much I earned at the time. As a public employee those engine bits would have cost me half a weeks wages. Ray TF 2884 |

Ray, the conversion was in today's value from pounds to dollars. The calculation of the value of 17 pounds in 1969 to the value in 2015 is based on what people earned at the time and what they could buy then and now with the same money. So basically using your method. Tim |

I have a lot of Moss Motors receipts from 1970. Afraid to even look at them. :-) |

How about a brand new steering wheel for $12.50! This came from Sportsparts also in 1970. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |
