MG TD TF 1500 - To Braid or not to Braid
I've mentioned in a previous post that I have made up a new, heavier duty, wiring harness and am about to send it away for flecked, cotton braiding. However, I have some black, polyester braid and am considering stopping the cotton where the loom passes through the bonnet sides and using the polyester under the wings. I reason that this will be more durable in the wet. I am also considering polyester under the car and to the rear wings, tank sender and fuel pump. The braiding costs £2.80 per foot and they will rebraid an old loom proving it is clean. Jan T |

Jan, I've been thinking about the same thing on protecting my new Moss harness with a braid covering. Researching some options, I found this product and wondering if it will work for the protection of our harnesses. Here's a link to the product I've been looking at. Opinions are very welcome http://www.rayandrain.com/ |

On TF's the factory used black plastic/vinyl tubing to cover the harness where it passes the oil filter and also to the tail lights if that helps. Matthew. |
