MG TD TF 1500 - TRIPLEX STENCIL
Does anyone know of a source for a Triplex stencil. This is not to be used as glass resale. A restorer friend of mine wants to utilize the stencil for etching glass. Dan H. |

Lew Palmer has the stencil used on cars sold in the States. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

That I do. $35.00 for the pre-war version, $50 for the post-war TD and TF. Kit includes mask, etching paste, and full instructions. Lew Palmer (lew (at) roundaboutmanor (dot) com |

Lew/Peter, Is the stencil for the mgtf windsccreen for cars exported to Australia the same as for the USA cars? I am interested in purchasing a stencil, etc. if relevant. Rob Grantham Perth,Western Australia. |

I don't know Rob but I suspect not. The Australian logo & the North American version do differ as far as the TD is concerned. I've met with the manufacturer here in Mascot in Sydney of T Type windscreens that are sold through Sportsparts & these all carry a Triplex logo that is dated 1960. Hopefully by about March I should have all 16 date correct TD logos (last quarter 1949 to 3rd quarter 1953). Glass from the 3rd quarter of 1953 would probably be correct for early TF's, as the glass is always from the quarter just prior to the build date. The difficulty has been in finding a manufacturer here able to produce a working stencil. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

If someone could send me a good picture of the Australian Triplex logo, I can likely produce a good working stencil. |
