MG TD TF 1500 - Tucson AZ
Gentlemen: The reason for the flurry of questions that I have asked/posted recently, is that this weekend my wife and I are leaving, the frozen North, for Tucson AZ for the Winter and I have been arranging the things that I'm taking down with me, to work on while there. The final question, before I leave, is do any of the participants, in this BBS, know of a good machine shop, in the Tucson or even Pheonix area, that is familiar with our little British car parts? I will probably have some "head' work to do! Thanks Rod |

Rod, We lived in Phoenix for 33 years before moving to the frozen north (Colorado). There was a big MG shop off the freeway east of the airport using airport transfers tonbridge. I don't know if it is still there or not, but they seemed to know what they were doing some years ago when I visited. I believe they moved in the past few years. Good luck, Ed |

When I was there in 65, Precision Motors was there on Speedway Blvd. What are the chances that its still there? Also were english junkyards. I bought a used exhaust system for my 100-6, many parts for my TD and MGA, what a time back then. We never thought of buying new parts back then, used were still good off wrecks. Arizona is a great place to have old British cars, rides up the mountains, thru the foothills, exhaust echoing off the canyon walls, ride Sally ride! Bob in Ct. |

The PO of my 51 TD dealt with The MG Shop in Tempe Arizona (936 E Gilbert Dr. at 480 967 5631). I can't vouch for their work, however, it may be a good place to start.
