MG TD TF 1500 - unknown rubber parts (MR 54)
We found but can't identify the above part. They (a pair) look like the rectangular radiator shell ferrules for the headlamp arm except they have rounded ends. The # is MR 54 (Moss Rubber ?). I know the Y-types use a round rubber there and just wondered if this could be TA/TB ? The TC & TD ferrule # is MR-3 ! Any guesses ? Thanks Jack |

The old Moss headlamp pads had vertical sides instead of the solid sloped ones. Do the pads have the three holes? |

Tim - I need to get a new camera ! Chris - the rubber I was referring to fits into the side of the grill shell. TD/F are square cornered, these are round but are of the same size. They may NOT even be MG maybe some other marque. Thanks Jack |

Thanks fellas, I found the application. They are for a TC, not TD/TF, and are the handbrake cable grommets. I talked to Moss, the T-series experts didn't have a clue, par for that course I guess. The MR 54 is the mfg #, made in China. Jack |

JR, I typed the following paragraph without reading all posts....and then looked back to find you had solved the problem! I am guessing they are rubber bits which fit into the TC chassis rails where the handbrake cable goes through. Bob Schapel |

Yes Bob, thanks. We are working on a TD MK II and I thought they were something related to a MK II. Jack |
