MG TD TF 1500 - What looks like a realy nice 1953 td on eBay!

This TD on eBay looks good, it has a buy it now price of $14,500. I dont have any thing to do with seller, but if some one is looking for a TD, this one is priced right and pretty nice! John

lOOKS NICE, BUT THE COMMENT THAT NOTHING WAS OVER LOOKED,,, RESTORED BY A PROFESSIONAL MG RESTORER,,, I'm not so sure,,, The first thing I see is the "overflow" tubes fron the carb cut off,,,,

Other than the very wrong dash, wrong and broken instruments, poor door fit, too much chrome ("King of the Road chrome package?")and non-chrome gas tank end panels, well, OK, I guess. And I love, "restored all the way from the plywood floor to the piston rings." At least the rings were replaced when the engine was rebuilt!

I'm the first to jump on things that are obviously wrong and obviously overpriced, but a $14,500 asking price (which means you could probably get it for $12K) strikes me as a pretty fair price for what appears to be a pretty nice car with a few minor issues...

Wrong tailights and top (2 bow) for a '53 and the dash...center panel is not cheap! I do, however, like the origional (or origional type) steering wheel.

You should know by now not to get worked up by the date someone says the car is. Most cars sold in the U.S. were not titled until sold. So this car, TD19873, built 16 September, 1952 is configured correctly for its build date.
