Drum correct, Hub is MGA, not TF |
Don Harmer |
Don is correct. The holes in the hub need to match the drum as shown here.

Laverne, Just a wee word of caution. I recently experienced the glue coming undone of a set of "Moss Specials" brake shoes. They ended up spinning around inside the drum and of course provided no braking whatsoever. A year or two ago, Moss had a special sale on brake shoes and I bought a set. The box clearly indicated they had been made in ... "You Know Where". My next set will be riveted. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

These have been good for about 25000 miles Gord but I know what you are talking about. The ones I put on the TC last spring were also made in you know where. Had to modify the rear shoes to be able to use them with the hand brake. In fact with the exception of super performance shoes like Brembo and such I believe you will find that all of the shoes and pads produced today are made in the country of questionable quality. I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling when I saw that the new knock offs we got were also made there. |

"Don is correct. The holes in the hub need to match the drum as shown here. " True, but not the statement about MGA hubs, though. The MGA front hubs are the same as for the TD/TF - I know because I sacrificed old MGA brake assemblies to get the hubs for my WW conversion on the TD. The one on the photo is probably B or midget, those have the 4 hole pattern. Rgds, Mike |
