Triumph Spitfire - Spitfire for sale
I have a 72 Spitfire for sale. I got the car as a rolling chasis and as I could not find a viabable engine for it I installed a General Motors 1600cc engine. So needless to say that the car is not stock. However, the body is in excellent shape and the interior was redone (seats re-covered and new carpet etc.). There has been some body filler used the last time it was painted but all in all if someone wanted a car to restore or drive as is on weekends it is not a bad deal. I drove it for about 2 summers and then had trouble with the carb so it has been parked in my garage for the past couple of years. If someone is interested in putting this car to good use then please let me know. I'm looking for about $2,500 or so for it, but should this not be realistic I may be back on this web site looking for parts (i.e. a proper engine) real soon. It was very fun to drive, but does need some work now. Stephen Noble. snoble@husky.ca |
