Triumph TR6 - Breakfast enroute to Ancaster?
I've been chattting with Bob Craske about the Ancaster event on April 17th and thought we would canvass the guys to see if anyone is interested in getting together for breakfast before the show. Bob knows a place (Tammy's) in the Hamilton area. RSVP. Does anyone know what time it open for parking & entry to the flea market? Mati |

Mati I will probably not go this year...I have already spent too much:) Have a good breakfast and good hunting:) All I know is it opens early ...check TTC for times (and no Don, this is not the public transit time table:) Rick C |

Rick- Can't you go just to have a good time and enjoy good company? Don |
DON KELLY |
Mati , as I remember Ancaster opens at 7-8am for vendors, 8-9 for show cars(British) and 10am for the public. Although there is never a problem getting a spot. I'd love to meet up with you guys for some green eggs and ham as long as we make it there before the brit cars are let in. Chris |

Mati, I'm in just tell me where and what time is good. Will be taking the TR4 as I got her running now, albeit she runs like a tank, are all TR4's supposed to feel this way? Dino |
Dino |
Don Yes I could but it would be like going to a Crappy Tire store up here in Canada ( the Canadian group will understand what I mean:)..You just can not look without buying something and I do not need anything......well maybe a new engine. The disassembly of the block shows that the DPO had thrown a rod. Did not have a DPO up till now:) But the good news is that is was not catastrophic and is going back together OK. As Chris Trace keeps reminding me....$$$$$$. Rick C |

Hey, Dino! I haven't driven a tank, the 4 should feel fairly solid and tight after you have rebuilt it, but not heavy or cumbersome. It should understeer less than a TR6, but not as agile as a Spitfire! Perhaps you meant this as a complimentto your car; I hope so! See you guys there! Simon. |
Simon |
Hey Simon, Oh no my 4 is real tight, in fact i believe i did a good job with suspension modifications and replaced every single bolt and rubber washer there was between tub and frame. Understeering, yes I agree, I even added a 3/4" sway in front so she's really responsive not to mention new rubber all around. I'll have to let you drive the car Simon, am not too happy with clutch/gear sections and maybe all I need is simple adjustments. Anyway I'm off to Florida for a week...ta,ta. Dino |

Hi All I am fortunate enough to live 10 minutes from the Ancaster fairgrounds. I would be up for breakfast as well I should have a complete rolling chassis ready to drop the body on to send for paintby the 17th if anyones interested in seeing it. I've had the frame redone and rebuilt the drivetrain and everything else! The show opens at 10am for buyers;my club sponsers it so I got a pamplet last night at the meeting Regards John OMeara PS there were only three tables left as of last night so that should meen some happy hours digging through TR6 bits! |

To Bob and Mati, Thanks guys for organizing the breakfast and that great drive to Ancaster. Tammy's is a nice little secret to have shared with us, fantastic food. Thanks again. Chris |

Almost a perfect day, except for a crazy malfuntion. On the way out of the Flea Market, my car gave a me a terrible jitter as I eased into first gear (2yr old clutch & rebuilt tranny). It did a repeat three more times on the way home (1st gear) and after an hour's rest, it did the same thing reversing out of the driveway. Took it to a vacant lot, flogged the car for 15 minutes but couldn't reproduce it? If the car had shook any harder, it could have knocked a filling out of a tooth. Any idea what could have caused this intermittent rumble in the driveline? Bob, thanks for recommending Tammy's. Good fun to see you guys and kick of another season. |
