Triumph TR6 - Clutch Shaft question
The manual for my 73 TR6 says to connect the clutch pushrod to the center hole using the clevis pin. What are the upper and lower holes for? |

From what I understand, the bottom hole is for the saloons that used the same clutch shaft, and the top hole is for idiots like the previous owner of my car to allow the clutch to appear to work even though the taper pin at the fork is broken. Not that I am bitter... In reality you can use the top hole to get a bit more travel on the release bearing at the expense of a heavier pedal, but from what I can tell, the bottom hole isn't going to do you any good at all. Hope that helps Alistair |

JW They are spares...OK Just kidding. Their actual purpose is to lighten the car so the car will go faster. Rick C |
