Triumph TR6 - Electricity??
Folks-After I don't know how many years, I think I bought the kit from Dan about 4 years ago, I have finally finished the change over.I have the dash in the ,how does Triumph say it, the work position . All the lights work from the correct switches.I bought a 2 prong, NLS door switch for the drivers door on eBay. It says it was for a Triumph. Didn't work, never grounded to the frame. I took that one and combined it with a new 1 I had got from TRF and all the door switched turn on the light as well as the GM headlight switch. The GM switch also has a Rheo built in and it works great. Wipers work. Washer switch, remember I had the ? on it doesn't work but the wiring works when touch together.Still need a buzzer for the fuel pump,ROD? The new LED for the cubby is bright . All the dash light are golden with the gauges all acting proper when grounded.I still have starter issues but the starter kicks over when the new ignition switch is twisted.. The starter is not installed. Even the hidden power supply switch works. I won't know if the Alt. and tack and oil pressure work until it starts up. Someday. At least I finally finish this part.
I'm proud for you. Congratulations. Envious but proud!! I had thought that I might catch up with you, but you're way out ahead now. My wiring harness is still in it's box in the storage room!
Good to hear it lad.
"UPLOAD" a bigger pic of the dash...let us see what it looks like.
As soon as I stuff it into the hole. I want to take the washer switch out to do some investigating and the new column mounted dip switch is a bit stiff and it won't always stay caught on brights.
I didn't mention, the 3 way fan switch with LED works as wall as the fuel pump switch.
The new hazard rocker has an LED that also works.
Way to go Don and congratulations but you will have to excuse my ignorance. What exactly is the kit and what does it do? What did you change over?
Mike you can go to this site and see. I completely rewired the car with upgrade wires and about 7 relays and a couple of flasher cans.
And one whole hell of a lot of labor!! Don did you wrap your wiring before you laid it or did you follow Dan's advice, lay it and then remove it to wrap and lay again?
I wrapped it in place. There is no way in H**%&& that you can pull mine out and wrap it and put it back.
