My home page has crashed so I've just linked it to Don's page for now...I hate computers !!! |
Charlie B. |

Rick Crawford |
Hey, I'm a CD boy and one of the originals from Chris Trace's winter get together.... were was my invite :( |
Marcello |
Rick and Marcello -- you're always invited ! Now, where - oh where are we ?? All I see are a series of blank white boxes. Just took a good look at all the members cars again -- what a beautiful, beautiful sight. We're sure a lucky bunch and Thanks again Charlie for hosting this cyber-get together. Good Driving !! Hey Don, Just back from vacation (airplane not car, too bad), didn't keep up while gone. Did those pics get censored? Walter |
Walter Dobbins |
I can see why you guys hate computers...... |
John Parfitt |
Me thinks Charlie is too busy driving his 6 and does not have time to take care of cyber-space. Rick C |

What's up guys....just tried the link and it works ok...and yes I have been busy driving my 6..it's running TRRIFIC Charlie |
Charlie B. |
Hey Charlie On my computer and i'am sure a few others the picture come up as a little red x. Cheers Malcolm |
Malcolm |
Yup....X marks the spot where the picture should be. MY MSTRS is still sad Charlie. Rick C |
Rick Crawford |
That's apparently in the computer settings...my laptop shows the x but my home one is ok...I've asked a couple of geeks but no-one knows why.. Charlie |
Charlie B. |
I'll guess that when you access the website from home the machine doesn't link to your server but finds them from the hard drive. To test, unplug from your modem and refresh. If the images are still there, you are not pulling from the server. Ask me how I know. Ashley |
Ashley |
I even tried accessing thru' my network router with my laptop and home pc at the same time..the laptop still shows the X while the home pc is fine. Must be powered by Lucas ! Charlie |
Charlie B. |
What ISP is everyone who is having problems using? Mine Is the same as Davids. Don |
DON KELLY |
Hey, I'm on a laptop with MSN dialup and get the red X's. Will try from DSL at home on desktop tonight. Both are XP. Walter |
Walter Dobbins |
Don, I've tried from my dailup on AOL at home and my High Speed Intranet T-3 line at work with MS Explorer and XP. On both, I only get the red "X's." db |
Doug Baker |
It's a real problem guys...I'll see what I can do to find out a fix...funy how it works for some .. Charlie |
Charlie B. |
What if you right-click on the 'X' & choose 'Show Picture'? How about holding down <Ctrl> & clicking the refresh icon (arrows chasing each other)? Charlie |
EC Smith |
Charlie- When I do finally get the boxes with the appropriate titles and click on them I only get Ricks note and no pics Don |
DON KELLY |
Charlie, I right click; I refresh; I do everything...but no photos. All the other links and photos work fine!! db |
Doug Baker |
If you look at the source code, you'll find the pictures are linked to Charlie's hard drive. When he clicks, he gets the pictures; the rest of us have no access to Charlie's hard drive, so we don't. An example: <img border="0" src="file:///C:/WEBSITE/CD%20GROUP/2005_0409tr60002.jpg" width="375" height="284"> As you can see, the link is to pictures on Charlie's "C" drive, in the folder WEBSITE/CD GROUP/ |
Dan Masters |
Sorry Dan when I visit the site they are all linked on the geocities site ?? where do you see the link you mentioned. This is confusing...some guys tell me they can see everything while others can't..you'd think it would be all or nothing for everyone Here is the one for the videos for those who can't see it http://ca.geocities.com/tr6bbs/COMMERCIAL/index.html Charlie |
Charlie B. |
Never mind Dan..I see it tks... |
Charlie B. |
OOOOOOOOOKkkkk that's one problem fixed..thanks Dan If it still is a problem for some here is the direct link for the CD Don group of pictures Charlie http://ca.geocities.com/trchas6/cdboys/cdgroup.html |
Charlie B. |
What language are you guys speaking? I recognize few English words here and there but the rest is geekease to me. |
Christopher Trace |
Mr.(Dr??) Masters, I have a sore back can you help me?....you seem to know everything else. Cool pics Don (and thanks Charlie). It is neat to see other TR rides. That super charger is very nice David. What a nice fit! The green TR I have been fortunate to have a ride in and share a few wobbly pops with Don and Ignatius. Don, I am disappointed. You did not get a mug shot of you, your TR, or your new garage. Rick C |
Rick Crawford |
Dan Master's knows , if not everything, close to 'everything' important. And what a guy, to offer his talents with photography too ! That calendar is sure tempting. Thanks Rick, the supercharger does fit quite nice - but I really can't take too much credit for it as the design has been honed and improved since it was first tryed in 1997. It's a lot of fun. And speaking of fun it was great to spend some time with Don, Walter and Ignatius talking TR6. Walter bought his car new and knows it very well; Ignatius is just in love with his , and Don - is in the midst of the 'long-term' overhaul - and in that place where you have to look at his car and do a fair amount of "imagining" - but given the time restrictions of work and growing family he's making great progress. And , thank you Rick, for creating the "CD" which was the "excuse" for the get together in the first place. The TR6 and the people who love them are just too cool ! |
David Johnston |
David, what a fantasic engine bay! Looks completely stock. Nice job. I 'm sure you have told us what the numbers are before but just for the sake of this thread could you please tell us again what sort of power your making now. Thanks, nice job, Chris |
Christopher Trace |
Well thanks Chris, I did work hard on it. I've got very "preliminary" dyno numbers - from last September. The air to fuel mixture was way too lean starting at 3000 RPM and up - 14 to 1 - so I shut it down at 5000 rpm. Results were 125 HP at the rear wheels with 175 foot pounds of torque. Normally parasitic loss would be about 29% --yielding about 175HP at the crank. I'm playing with needles and installing an electric fuel pump and a wide-band O2 sensor to more carefully monitor mixture strength this summer. I'll report when next on the dyno, results should be better. |
